This team has always been so strat heavy and plan dependant for as long as i can remember, I became a G2 fan becuase of their slow methodical min-max playstyle because i fucking enjoyed watching that shit. "Perfect Valorant" was a term popularized for them and thats what made them hated by most of the fans.

But this G2, Nah this G2 is nowhere Identlcal to the G2 that people knew. Hero plays, Clutch rounds and bullshit plays every game at this point. Unwinnable rounds turned into match defining moments. Its like a PRX without vibecalling and an actual good calls. Almost every game and every map has had a map defining clutch or has boiled down to an insane hero play this tournament.

Valyn and Babybay 2v5 against 100T
Trent 1v4 to close out Split against TL
Jawgemo 4k at fucking 9/22
Leaf 1v3 on Split against PRX

These are some i just remember off the top of my head and im prolly missing alot more. Shit has been such a breath of fresh air, geniune excitement everytime i see G2 play and it has been so long since ive ever felt that way about this team. I love this team so much LFG G2 WE'RE WINNING SHANGHAI

idk bro i feel like they ain't good enough shooters to win champs on that kinda style. they're decent, but they're up against younger, more talented teams. there style was kinda their biggest advantage.

normally i would agree with you but they are winning so many clutches this tournament, you can look back at their split games. old g2 dont win those kind of rounds 80% of the time. they’ve lacked the clutch gene in the past to break through
