So this has not happened yet but there is a scenario where LEV do not make it to Champs.
If the 100t vs LOUD gf scenario happens i think riot should look into the system with Champs points because it sounds wrong for one of the 2 Masters winners of this year to not make Champs.

lev not making the first masters (unlucky with neon but the reality) and going out 5-6th losing to every good team you play in stage 2 shouldn't warrant insta qual even if you won london imo

yeah same, their reward was a massive point advantage even though they missed a whole event at the start of the year
But isn't the point of Champs to showcase the best teams throughout the year? LEV was a consensus top team for multiple months with Hardware this year. With the meta shifting so often it doesn't make sense to me that you can not have a Masters winner as a participant.

isn’t that exactly why it’s a good idea for the system to be as it is? there are so many map pool and meta changes throughout the season that it’s hard to have consistency. LEV have shown that they have glaring weaknesses that they couldn’t patch up and they got punished for it. I don’t see what’s wrong with it. They shouldn’t get a free pass to champions just because they won a tournament, consistency matters as well
I much like you and many others would have loved to see them at champs but they don’t deserve it over the likes of NRG and G2 in their current form i’m afraid. Maybe you can make an argument for 100T and LOUD considering those teams haven’t made masters
I understand wanting master to be auto qual, I wouldnt have an issue with that system, I just think if lev dont make it, its not like the systems been unfair to them, they had lots of opportunities and nrg / g2 and 100t are all better than them currently
lev only don’t make it if it’s a 100t loud final
so if loud are eliminated early, lev qualifies

ok but you go through regional qualifiers to make internationals, if you can’t do that then you don’t deserve to be at champs
PRX made deep runs in both masters and got rewarded with an early ticket to shanghai which included the kickoff and stage 1 qualifiers
