the people that complain about the big orgs not qualifying would be mad about this but it is genuinely such a treat to watch, dozens of new faces are coming in while the old vets get washed out. it feels like a big transition period between new teams and old name value in val

it's indeed very fun because it's unpredictable, not because it's random. The better teams are winning, it's just that the better teams aren't the ones you expect

just a few that i can remember from emea in stage 2 (let alone the stage 1 disasterclass)
this is not good
having dynasties and a higher skill ceiling is way better than making the whole game simpler every patch (yoru nerfs, smoke disappearing visuals, nerfing sentinels/initiators for more brainded neon run and gun gameplay)
the 2022-2023 VCT era was peak. we had pretty much the same top 6-7 teams: FNC LOUD OPTIC/NRG DRX PRX FPX/NAVI EG
the only recent change I can remember that rewarded players who spend time focusing on a skill is not being able to ping from the minimap (u have to know the alignments/line-ups to spam the spike now if you get smoked off)
mate the beggining of the game also had upsets what are you talking about, this has always existed, you're nostalgic of nothing
