like tier2 teams beating tier1 teams genuinely shows that EMEA had promise extending further than just the top teams
yk like azury and musashi - players that ive legit seen NOBODY hype up before they played against M8, able to hold their own and even thrive against M8
thats shows genuine promise for this region in 2027 to have some banger OQ and even CQ matches
Youre also forgetting that the Best Tier1 teams from each region dont get to play the Tier2 teams
I mean for now tier 2 teams just proved they are better than the tier 1 shitters/inconsistent teams, we are yet to see them vs tier 1 competition. Not saying they are mid, but I don't think they are trophy contenders, or top 4 in the region just yet
im not suggesting tier2 teams are better than top tier1 teams
my point is that teams like SGE, who i would describe as having a miracle run to tier2 (FKS were the favourites so) are able to win maps against teams like M8 who have the potential to be a top team (they did it this kickoff and then replaced bipo with a better player), which shows that the gap between tier 1 and tier 2 really isnt far

i was worried that 2027 would just be the same tier1 emea teams thrashing the rest of the region because the gap is very far

EP and FF defo top teams but its not like SGE and JL are way better than FKS/CGN/MDR/UCAM/MISA/PXL/BAR/TL.A etc im sure i missed some
obviously the mid table teams in VCL wont be that good but like i could see TL.A beating some mid table tier1 teams
