Why do people hate RRQ?

I actually spent 20-30 minutes contemplating why RRQ would be hated by a lot of people, and I legit cannot think of a single reason to hatewatch this beloved team. Every single player on RRQ has a very likeable personality, and all of them are very skilled individually, in comparison to the average VCT Pacific player. After all, they were more than competent enough to qualify for 4 international events from such a stacked region.

How can anyone hate on the personalities on this RRQ roster? How can people hate the immense, painstaking dedication that they exert into qualifying for Masters and Champs? How could you hate on the contagious pride that RRQ has in representing South East Asia on the international stage? We all must empathetically shed blood, sweat and tears with RRQ on their arduous journey to Champions Shanghai 2026. Who else is with me?

They qualify over teams that people are fans of and that they think are better than RRQ just to watch RRQ underperform internationally which makes people think the spot is "wasted."

I've been a fan of Jemkin since scarz but I understand the viewpoint.

In short people think other teams would represent apac better so they hate on RRQ.

i think it’s just cause they lack a lot of likable talent (i mean Jemkin and that’s kinda it), also they choke internationally which leaves a bitter taste in pacific fans mouths who want their region to succeed or think the teams rrq beat got
“robbed”

they will beat the top teams of pacific then shit themselves internationally or in the most important matches. people hate them because of their inconsistency.

I genuinely feel its because RRQ have the potential to be really great but always fizzle out before they're about to spark something

Like u said the 5 of them are great individual players but when the collective sum of the team is less than them 5 individually somethings very wrong

because they only win when they anti strat.

If you watch any of their wins in regionals in 2025, you will only see anti strats.
Other teams have their own strats that are supplemented by anti strats, but RRQ relies SOLELY on anti strats.
Because of this, they steal a spot to an international just to shit the bed horribly at the international.

Also they tilted munchkin into leaving GenG after anti strating them for the 10000th time

I couldnt care less about the players on the team, but the team itself pisses me off.
