Overall not a mickey tourney, the matches are proof that every team is taking this tourney seriously and giving us amazing matches to watch plus crowd is amazing too, majority of people calling this tournament mickey because their fav team wasn't able to make it and started calling EWC mickey with no base. Dude a world cup can't be mickey bro just shut up and enjoy the matches?

Single elim play offs is just better. You don't need 2 lives in every stage of an event. Ik you are obsessed with Val so you can watch old vods or somthing if it hurts you that much lol
Time limit is tight that's why we have single elimination and just because of single elimination u can't call of a good quality tournament micket.
First of all the tournament itself is outside of VCT circuit
The most prestigious event in valorant is champs
Masters events if you get high enough placement you get champs points
What do you get from getting a top 2 from EWC
And there is so many other reasons
Single elim, poor quals, teams that went deep in london are at a pretty big disadvantage too and focusing too hard on EWC can mean a poor performance in stage 2 so a lot of teams like NRG are just taking the chance to experiment
Difference is that soop and rbhg were offseason tournaments with new teams, EWC is a tournament where all the teams qualified and are more established
rbhg is the greatest tourney in this list because my team was able to win something
No one cares what you enjoy
Stop comparing off-season events after Champs when its time for break and event in mid of the season right after masters and right before stage 2

PRX and EDG who placed #2 and #3 at Masters London didn't care and dipped too. EDG played with a sub at EWC lmfao.
they had to play with a sub. lol have u watched the games? most are pretty high level and teams are absolutely trying. schedule fatigue is one thing, but the teams that are here are playing very well for the most part
To me it's a great tournament to check up on teams that missed on Masters. I won't look down on teams like PRX or G2 even though bombed early, but teams that get far like NS, mibr/100T will definitely raise my expectations of them for Stage 2.
on paper EWC should be the most ideal tournament for any team because you could call it an irrelevant tournament if you lose out early, but you get a big morale boost and a good sign of the team's capabilities if you win it all. There is no net-negative result from playing this event
I think the qualification stage was mickey just because how close it was to Masters London plus of the online format it was done on
This Groups/Playoff stage at Paris does not deserve to be mickey
