It was Frost's choice of kicking Patmen and due to internal conflict. He Chose to leave as they didnt follow is suggestion. Simple as it is.
Now you're just speculating, we don't know that frost wanted to kick patmen all we know is that frost and patmen didn't get along and that patmen and a few others wanted frost gone which caused GE to fire frost. It wasn't frost's decision to be fired.
