yes and no. its good for ending a game fast but its just a game of chance. some teams are winning when they shouldnt in pens (not degrading paraguays win today tho)
lower the players salary a LOT and onlky give them a raise when they win so they actually try

Yeah if it means someone actually wins from that. I don't wanna a game of luck determine a winner. it's like saying in valorant where a 1v1 skirmish if a scoreline is 12-12 will determine a winner. not very good
''no matter how long the game drags'' The players are already participating in like 50-60 games a season, if you go through the entire world cup you will have like 40 days of rest before the new season begins. It would deadass just kill your stamina and make you so injury prone you will be missing games every second month
