I’d rather have leaf* trade someone than be traded in most scenarios

In the end it's a team game and Leaf is only playing senti because he's has incredible game sense and there's no reason to have him on a role where he can't be a playmaker consistently
Loud problems were way beyond whoever duelist they had and comparing it with G2 system is absolutely crazy

You literally can't win most duels without your team setting you up, this isn't cs where you can just out aim people like donk mf, makes no fucking sense to compare players based on how much they don't need to be traded

You have Icy as a drone because he can only play like that; They don't set him up to get the first kill because he's unreliable, so the safe route is for him to be a drone. You wouldn't have this problem with Leaf as reliable fragger who can win his first duels, and its a better, although slightly more risky option

in fact, not a single motherfucking duelist G2 signed has a positive fkfd ratio, because their system fucking sucks for the duelist and they are reliant in the duelist out aiming people (which guess what, ISN'T CONSISTENT ENOUGH IN VALORANT TO BE JUSTIFIED)

yes i agree that duelists in G2 doesn't work the same, im assuming they would change the system for him because it would be a better idea, since they are going nowhere with their current one. thats the whole point of the post
and yes i will forever die in the hill that having a duelist that can actually win your first duels and makes you comfortable to set him up is better than having a entry drone because the results itself speak. apart from maybe some 21 shitshow that i dont know about, chamber-era teams, and whatever was happening on EG 23, every world champion team had a duelist going nuts and killing everyone

If you agree with me then why are you using the shallow argument of "if my duelist can win more fights and doesn't need trades, that means he's better than x duelist" which completely ignores the very thing you claim to agree to?
I'd very much like to see what trophies these world champions have besides the one they won while going crazy. Oh yeah, they didn't win any other trophies because they got out strated by someone else, because this isn't fucking counter strike where you can win just with your aim.
As a matter of fact, most duelists that won trophies are nowadays completely overshadowed by others
There's a reason Astralis won 3 majors in a row and when the players left almost none of them ever managed to replicate that success (except for two who joined another equally strat heavy team)
Winning duels as a duelist on entry depends a lot on how team sets you up. G2 wasn't setting up icy well. They were mostly using him like a entry drone tbh.
Also when you have leaf one of the best senti in the world it doesn't make sense to put him on duelist and icy on senti.
2025 zekken won his duels and that team was terrible because no one was left to actually win the round after they sent him to die alone for space
Def not, duelist is both the highest impact and hardest role in the game, you want your player with the most carry potential on the duelist. All of G2’s successes are in spite of their duelist being shit rather than bc they could send the duelist in tk die

Well he played it for like 3 years so he had to be. When g2 was looking for a new player to replace net, they were trialing several options including leaf on and off duelist and they thought their best version was with him off duelist which is why he switched
