I genuinely do not understand how people can sit down for two hours and watch the World Cup. At the end of the day, it's literally just 22 people chasing the same ball around a giant field. People act like it's the most intense thing ever, but half the match is just passing the ball back and forth while commentators try their hardest to convince everyone something exciting is happening. Every time someone gets close to scoring, they either miss by three feet or fall over dramatically like they just got hit by a truck. Then after 90 minutes of running, the score is somehow still 0-0. Imagine spending an entire movie watching characters build up to a climax only for nothing to happen. That's basically soccer.

What makes it even funnier is that soccer is one of the simplest sports imaginable. The strategy is basically "kick ball toward net and don't let other team kick ball toward your net." Meanwhile, fans will spend hours analyzing formations and tactics as if they're discussing military operations. You'll hear someone say, "That defensive adjustment in the 63rd minute completely changed the game," and then you check the scoreboard and it's still 1-0. The players run like marathon athletes for an hour and a half just to produce fewer points than a single basketball quarter. Sometimes entire tournaments are decided by penalty kicks, which is basically the sports equivalent of flipping a coin after making everyone wait all day.

Meanwhile, VCT Valorant is actually entertaining because something happens every thirty seconds. There's constant action, clutch plays, insane flicks, utility combos, strategy, communication, and moments where a single player can completely change a round. In soccer, a highlight might be one cool goal every hour. In Valorant, you can get an ace, a 1v5 clutch, an insane Operator shot, and a ridiculous comeback all within a few rounds. Watching the World Cup feels like watching people slowly move a ball across a field while waiting for something interesting to happen. Watching VCT feels like watching a highlight reel that never ends. If I had to choose between seeing 90 minutes of professional grass-touching and watching ten players turn a digital bomb site into absolute chaos, I'm picking VCT every single time.

also its soccer by the way, not football. if you disagree you're part of the problem

I genuinely do not understand how people can sit down for two hours and watch the Xi Lai Gaming Play. At the end of the day, it's literally just 5 bots running around shooting their gun. People act like it's the most intense thing ever, but more than half the time is just them getting absolutely shit on while casters s try their hardest to convince everyone something exciting is happening. Every time someone gets close to them winning, they either get shit on 2-0 or try to make it interesting by winning 2-1. Then after winning they proceed to get packed like a can of sardines and sent home. Imagine spending an entire movie watching characters build up to a climax only for nothing to happen. That's basically Xi Lai Gaming.

What makes it even funnier is that Chinese Valorant is one of the most 1 dimensional gameplay there is. The strategy is basically "happywei drop 30 every map." Meanwhile, fans will spend hours analyzing comps and tactics as if they're discussing military operations. You'll hear someone say, "That defensive adjustment in the second half completely changed the game," and then you check the scoreboard and it's still 13-0 for the opposing team. The players run around the map like marathon athletes for an hour and a half just to produce the most mediocre performance out of any team in the tournament. Sometimes entire tournaments are decided by clutches, which is something Xi Lai Gaming are incapable of doing.

Meanwhile, VCT Valorant in all the other regions is actually entertaining because something happens every thirty seconds. There's constant action, clutch plays, insane flicks, utility combos, strategy, communication, and moments where a single player can completely change a round. In China VCT, a highlight might be one cool 3K once a map. In Valorant from other regions, you can get an ace, a 1v5 clutch, an insane Operator shot, and a ridiculous comeback all within a few rounds. Watching Xi Lai Gaming feels like watching people slowly lose iq with every bullet they shoot. Watching VCT in other regions feels like watching a highlight reel that never ends. If I had to choose between seeing 90 minutes of Lysoar pretend that he has aura and watching ten players from Americas, Pacific, and EMEA turn a digital bomb site into absolute chaos, I'm picking not picking Chinese VCT every single time.

also EDG is exponentially better by the way, not XLG. if you disagree you're part of the problem
