Let's make a few assumptions
VIT beats FUT
LEV beats NRG (or reverse)
XLG beats DRG
GE beats FS

VIT and LEV go to play offs. Fair i guess
DRG and FS go home. 🖐️
You end up with another draw between NRG, XLG, GE and FUT. What's so bad about this. At least it's impossible to get regional match ups to decide who makes play offs that would be even worse imo. At least now the stronger regions (rn) both have 1 guaranteed team in play offs.

Yes next rounds game are boring but the rest of the tournament doesnt have to be.

sure, but xlg won double pistol and bonus (8 free rounds) on their map pick and still couldn’t close it out

It's not it would be a bad match-up it's just criminal if any of the 0-1 teams can get into playoffs without beating one of the 1-0 teams, meanwhile one of NRG/VIT/LEV/FUT can lose only to AMER/EMEA and get sent home. That's the issue.

The loser of NRG/LEV vs FUT/VIT (if it happens) deserve to qualify over GE/FS/XLG/DRG, if they only play regional rivals plus apac/cn

I think GE did show some good valorant but let me paint you a picture:

NRG beat LEV
VIT beat FUT (or vice-versa)
GE beat FS
XLG beat DRG (or vice-versa)

then suppose GE get XLG and beat them, whilst LEV loses to FUT. Do you think LEV are less deserving of playoffs than a GE who lost to LEV and only beat FS and a CN team?

Because in that scenario it would be possible for GE to draw XLG and maybe get a free ticket to playoffs when they don't deserve it.
