Can you show me where he was "pivotal in NRG winning Champs last year"? Is that an assumption or are you referencing something other than the results?

That's what I'm trying to understand. Not that I'm throwing shade at the role but the impact seems overstated.
Okay, then please help me understand the impact that Strong had that isn't result based. I'm happy to take evidence in the form of people saying nice things about him on twitter when he left. Any videos that we have on YouTube that show him in action.
But this idea that s0m leaving doesn't have a larger impact on their current form than Strong leaving is where I draw the line and require some level of proof. s0m has eliminations, deaths, a trophy he held up based on his performance.

I am telling you that the title of AC coach doesn't mean shit in terms of a people's actual responsibilities in the team
I would need to know additional details to confirm your statement. But once again, we run into the same issue, no one knows what goes on in NRG except the people in NRG. We don't get much insight into the process or what their roles and responsibilities are and so it seems that in the end, we are left making assumptions that don't amount to much but internet babble.

You can't just say someone had an impact. You need to show evidence of impact. Don't just say it, show it.
Just look at their games before he became head coach wtf are you on about? went from being an average/mid international team to a proper contender for winning it?
How do you not see in your head that you are just making things up? You don't know what happened on that team. You don't know what level of contribution existed. You just presume to know what behinds closed doors? This sort of cognitive dissonance is why this community struggles with reality. Strong is probably just the best option available if you want to win internationals tbh. Him & Desmo both know how NA teams play. Both have experience in internationals also. And both have had experience in EMEA aswell.
