bruh everyone was hyping this exa guy up like he was gonna be the faker of valorant. wtf happened.
he's been carrying them the last few games. Are we deadass blaming a 13-0 on one guy?
no? but I was expecting something like what aspas done at MIBR. from the amount of hype this guy was getting. it was genuinely more than sayonara.
ok so me saying "i was expecting something like aspas" (take the worst team in americas and turn them into a team that makes runs internationally) is the same as saying hes not their best player?
i was just expecting SRB to be actually competent and have a chance at ascension with the amount of hype surrounded by him. obviously its unrealistic to think an import from T2 korea challengers would make them be able to win ascension. but hype suggested otherwise.

MIBR 2024 by far was the worst americas team in the league. MIBR 2025 made Toronto & Champs? what am i missing.

The roster changed, but the bad rep was still there no? everyone genuinely thought aspas ruined his career joining them cause of how badly they performed.
edit: plus artzin & fROd were still on the team. it wasnt exactly a brand new team entirely.
who gives a fuck about the reputation? It doesn't change anything to the objective quality of the team
MIBR:
- scrapped their entire roster except their highest rated player (and i think igl not sure)
- picked up the 2 best players in Brazil T2 at the time (xenom and cortezia)
- picked up the highest rated initiator in NA T2 at the time (although his spat at NRG was interesting)
- picked up the highest rated player in T1 Americas
that 2024 team also:
- played a game with 2 subs (one hadnt played professionally in a year, one played for a T2 team who got demoted, pulling up sub 1 r2.0)
- had 2 different rosters
- 6/8 of their players haven't played in T1 since, and pull up mediocre stats in T2 Brazil
- the other player, Palla, got a chance at FURIA for a stage, finding similar results (0-5 and a 0.77 rating)
but yeah aspas made the team good

Might be dumbest thing ive heard. Are you being serious? A retired Sacy & GC players had better stats than them. Never mind the other X amount of players also. What tf do you mean "best players" are you demented? They were DECENT in T2 BRAZIL, they were never the best in T2 brazil. wtf are you on.

Well first of all, they had Nzr before Verno. He stank and got dropped, Verno was good when he first joined, was really bad in stage 2. But was good overall.

Carried insanely hard in Kickoff, Stage 1, Stage 2, Champs. Thats not even arguable. Cortezia & Xenom were mid regionally. Cortezia had a good champs though. They were never the defining factor in that MIBR squad being good lets be honest. Aspas & Verno were quite clearly the 2 additions that made MIBR turn into a team that could actually do good. Not Cortezia & Xenom. Be fr.

whilst aspas and Verno definitely did carry, i dont think theyre getting to internationals with mazin and RglMeisteR idk about u tho
he farmed korea challengers, came to na and has been the best player on their team by far, not to mention they were all playing at their own homes compared to an office until a couple weeks ago where he's been so much better

Everyone blamed ion and claimed him leaving as "obvious upgrade", just to lose to some Dragon Gaming, EG Academy and getting 13-0'ed LMAOOO
