I can understand replacing penny even though he played well against mibr because he hasn't played all that well for the rest of the time. But you cannot tell me that you are replacing v1c who's played mid for like a stage and a half while still having xeppaa who's played mid his entire career and even when he's playing well he's still mid. Like notexxd is a great player and I'm happy he's getting a chance, but how is C9 going to replace the player that has consistently been their second best player and not replace the guy on par with asuna in the art of paycheck stealing.

xeppaa is just good enough to never be the bottom 2 players on c9, and unless you want to full rebuild which is not C9 style he always seems to be among the last considerations when it comes to replacements
it helps that he is pretty flexible so they can build around the players they sign with him filling the gaps

xeppaa is probably next tbh it would just be too much to replace that many players rn

So they kicked their two youngest players career wise and kept xeppa. I couldn't imagine a more c9 decision
