I know it has only been 12 maps but we can expect neon to have around 60% pickrate by the end of stage 1. Riot games do something. Buff the sentinels or are we listening to t0nz and cater to him? Also you completely killed Yoru, nobody plays him in both ranked and pro play. What are the balancing team doing?

This is a very hot take but I've never seen an esport so behind on adaptations like vct phoenix shouldn't have taken this long to rise in usage I actually think neon is severly overplayed and yoru realistically isn't bad enough to have a 0% play rate
Its mainly because teams are too scared to try something new in a season without risking their chance to not qualify for the international tournaments. The number of games are too little and the number of big prize pool tournaments are too little for them to risk new stuff so they wait for someone else to take the risk and copy. I dont think it has much to do with the game but rather more to do with the VCT structure
True riot also just kinda lets teams get away with orgs taking no risks with franchising since they'll always be there as well
I honestly think the system is fine in theory but idk I disagree with franchising systems in general I don't see the pros and find the cons show up on a daily basis
I feel like you'd have to try new things if you had to face relegation but also there could be more mini tournaments like in China which there have been more recently
it has been long known the the balancing team are the most narrate-worded division in the riot hq, nothing new
I would say it's only been a year of questionable changes tbh even all the dogshit ones made before last year like the iso shield (never again pls) were fixed as needed
So dambi is single handedly bringing neon pickrate to 79%? Either ways it doesnt matter, nobody wants to watch neon on all maps running around and being difficult to aim at. And this is not just in pro play but in ranked too
