The more you do it, the more you think of it. Fight the urges. Do something else to take your mind off of it. It will get easier as you do it less and less
I can maintain the nofap streaks but when the streak breaks and I start gooning again I just do it way more tHat it feels the nofap streak was useless
the real thing you need to adress is the underlying emotional pain that necessitates your porn use. Unless you work on yourself as a person and overcome your trauma all nofap streaks are "useless".

it does not matter if it is a joke or not. I did not take it seriously but there are some things that you should not joke about. Encouraging others to not quit an addiction "as satire" is one of them

As a retired gooner, just get yourself busy with anything (extremely effective if it doesn't include looking at digital screens) AND get yourself around people (don't isolate yourself)
as with any other addiction like coffee, alcohol or drugs, an effective way is to make consequences for them or making it impossible.

Its easier to fix a bad habit by replacing it with a good or better habit instead of trying to eliminate the habit completely. However what helped me most is to be so tired that you dont even get the energy to goon and just go to bed instead (this method only works if you dont goon during the day)
