depends on the software engineer, 80k in some midwest state or 250k+ in seattle/san francisco? Also depends on how well you do in vct, if you're mid you're probably out within a couple years, top 5 ranked leaderboard doesnt mean a lot.
play video games for a living or stare at a wall of code for 8 hours a day
video games as job is a nightmare. You will not have that fun mindset anymore.
It will be like any other job. Exhausting stuff
i've been competing in games on and off since i was 12 and i promise you i would take the video games 100% of the time
