still one issue with the format though. the 4 playoffs teams get to decide their group match-up in the order of a luck-based draw. rigged

it used to be 1st seeds from groups play against PAC/CN(orSouthAmerica) playoffs teams and 2nd seeds from groups play against AMER(orNA)/EMEA playoff teams.
AMERICAS and EMEA were objectively better regions back then
arguable but probably. they did come in via 1st seed bye and 5/8 teams are actually competent. if they face like, AG or FUR definitely a mickey but otherwise it's just a fancy old school masters 1 with better qualification
