Let me start off by saying nAts is a good IGL, but in groups it feels like something doesn’t click especially against other regions. Even dropping a series to Gentle Mates shows something’s off in those international matchups.
Wayne coming in as a Pacific import has been super consistent and clutching important rounds. Purp0 is actually shooting back and showing real promise.
I also think Kamo should be on the OP more instead of Miniboo he looks comfortable on it, so it’s confusing why they don’t lean into that. Miniboo has always been super inconsistent he has insane peaks but also very big stinkers, and this felt like one of those stinker games.
Overall, picking up Wayne and Purp0 who hadn’t been to internationals before and adding Miniboo after his time on Team Heretics shows this roster still has firepower and potential. It just feels like no matter what, they end up stuck in groups. Another frustrating showing from Team Liquid.
