Waylay has completely taken over Raze spot and with the way how things are moving teams might start running solo waylay with double initiators. Double duelist meta is kinda dying i feel and maybe by start or end of masters 1, double duelist meta will probably die is my prediction.
It was Raze/Jett + Yoru --> Waylay + Yoru --> Solo Waylay (Soon)
Nah fuck jett. I remember those days when jett had 70%+ pickrate, those were the days you could one trick one agent and get away. There were cool moments here and there but watching jett on majority of maps made it boring
double duelist is not dying, yoru is still pretty strong, but waylay does seem to be the most viable solo duelist atm
Ya yoru is still strong but a lot of teams still struggle to use Yoru to full extent so they might start playing double initiator. Of course certain teams will lean towards double duelist like PRX, ENVY. But my prediction is majority of teams will lean towards double initiator like SEN, GX, 100T with mainly waylay being the solo duelist.
That is what is happening. Teams are preferring to play flash initiator over Yoru if nobody on the team can play Yoru at the highest level. And its much easier to play Kayo or Skye or Breach over Yoru who requires a lot of coordination

I agree to an extent, teams are relying less on double duelist and double initiator/smoke is making a comeback but double duelist still has good pickrates and winrates. also generally chamber is being used and hes considered a proto-duelist so in practice there is double duelist out there

True. Double duelist dying is my prediction, I mean it wont die completely, teams like PRX, ENVY will still stick to double duelist but majority of teams will move away by mid season. Its my prediction, Im not saying it is already dead and lets not consider chamber as a "proto duelist" he is a proper sentinel ever since his TP got nerfed.

g2 if they do play chamber, it will probably be played by babybay and not leaf. Babybay fucked up the roles. Idk who will play it on mibr, I hope its not aspas, its a waste to make someone as good as aspas to play so passively and lurk instead of diving into the site.

Yes yoru is strong, no doubt. But a lot of teams are deciding not to pick him on majority of the maps, look at NRG in 2025 other than abyss they never played Yoru and same with GX. What Im trying to say is a lot of teams might start playing without Yoru not because he is weak but they struggle to play him

double duelist will never die as long as Yoru stays as strong as he is, it's just that most teams are very comformist and they can't consistently play a different meta than what has been standard for the past 5 years, so they try to play as much double init as possible
You know this alone wont do shit. Aint nobody playing Raze because her boombot lasts 2s more. Both Yoru and Waylay should receive nerfs for Raze to come back.
bombot lineups in attack were verry good you could clear all of hooka with it for example, this could replace fade prowler during fast round
Yoru is an initiator hybrid at this point. But waylay yoru will definitely be meta
