If you have a bad map but your opponents map is also their perma ban you can ban of their better maps instead of your perma ban

Here’s an example since Liquids perma ban was also pearl Fnatic didn’t need to ban it and took away Liquids ascent (one of their best maps at the time)

am i dumb or couldn't you just ban the "additional" map first and gamble that the other team would proceed to ban their permaban after you?

I guess it would be nice to give the skirmish winner the choice of first or second - we'll see !

It’s safer to go second because you have more control of which maps you want them to pick

means if you're the best team itw on a map you can see if the other team bans their perma or your best map
means you get a "free" ban if both teams have the same perma
means you get to choose decider

winning the skirmish lets you pick to be team a or b
do you really think every team that used to win the flip picked a?
