could it be used to learn Chinese by listening?
i learned English at a young age through listening so i wanted to ask if i also could use it for Chinese
i know English is similar in structure to German which made it easier to do that
im just curious
Their talking speed is too quick
Chinese also differs a lot from English
For a beginner, there is too much varied vocabulary

I currently have Pleco and HelloChinese
not using doulingo because they pissed me off (i had grammar 1:1, symbols and everything, and it got counted as being wrong)
I grew up speaking Chinese so I don't really have any apps or websites in mind. However I think the best way to approach learning Chinese for an English speaker would be to find an app that teaches you pinyin. Once you grasp the tones, you can literally use google translate, maybe get a list of high frequency words and start practicing listening and speaking.
And then maybe you could watch vct cn and try to listen for words which you recognize.
yes bro after watching 1 hour of vct cn broadcast i can confidently say i'm fluent in chinese
you learn languages easier when younger, new languages are harder to pick up the older you get
if that's the main source you're wanting to use I would say probably not enough. consider how many people watch hours and hours of anime and come out of it speaking basically no japanese except for a few words and maybe a single basic sentence - and that's with subtitles to help
when the language you wanna learn is that far away from your native (mainly alphabet diff imo) it'll take a lot more effort sadly. but yeah as said by someone above as a later stage resource or an addition to other resources it'll def be a positive
Def not. Watching CN dramas is more helpful because the VCT CN broadcast ends up talking about VALORANT and you won't learn much vocab
