I see so many people labelling vit a superteam but not mentioning t1 when vit only have 2 players that have actually won something while t1 have FIVE master winners and a player with 2 masters wins and a 2nd place and another player with 2nd place
How tf r vitality called a superteam and t1 arent when sayonara has never proven himself on stage and profek is also a huge question mark
Also derke jampii and chron dont put up the numbers they used to anymore
I think it’s based on the context of the region that the majority considers it that way
realistically T1 IS a super team and was last year aswell, they just looked ass for half the year so ppl dont think of them as one
they consistently just looked like they were getting by on individual skill, like fully only winning rounds off shooting better, which makes people feel bad about them even if they technically won games

Buzz and Izu stocks aren't really high at the moment, but T1 are a superteam. Meteor is the best at his role, debatably in the world, and Munchkin is the best IGL in pacific. I think if we had 2023 Buzz stocks, then T1 would be touted as a superteam.
Best at his role?? All this guy does is overpeak everything and get away with it because he's just better. But in NO way is he even remotely good at his role.

If T1 is superteam then Full Sense is definitely superteam too because FS beat T1 pretty easily.
Thats honestly my take on it, i think t1 is a korean superteam at most but idt both are genuine "superteams"
t1 would be more of a superteam if buzz and stax didn't shit the bed for over half the year and ruin their stock over the past 2 years (stax basically missed out on every international in 2024, buzz made it to only 1, both had never reached an international grand final until bangkok, both fell off immediately after - especially buzz, who looked awful at champs 25)
as it stands t1 has 3 players who are top 5/top 3 in their role in pacific (izu, munch, meteor) and 2 players who are top 5 in their role in the world (meteor, munch)
vitality has the biggest prospect in emea (sayonara), a two time trophy winner that is arguably top 5 in their role in the world and definitely top 3 in emea, and profek&jamppi are top 5 players in their role in emea (cmiiw). also they have a goat contender in chronicle.
meteor and munchkin are the only people in t1 to have made more than 1 final, whereas chronicle and derke have made it to a combined 6 (berlin, berlin, sao paulo, tokyo, toronto, champs 25)
i feel like there is a plausible star power difference between vitality and t1 that makes t1 less of a "superteam" than vitality.
not saying i disagree but these could be the defining differences between the two. also i don't like calling t1 a superteam because the hype and pressure that such a name would bring to them would be too high.
You're not biased, T1 does have 5/6 Masters winners so they are a super team. It's just hard to have the buzz VIT does cause they are Korean.
If were calling verno tex and mazino superteam material surely we count atleast izu and maybe even buzz in there

My issue with calling t1 a super team is that its just an existing team adding a player
That makes the super teams boring since youll have a ton of them per year
NRG is a super team (4 Champs winners + one of the hottest emea players of 2025)
PRX is a super team (4 Master winners + one of the most consistent pacific players of all time)
T1 is a super team (4 Master winners + one of the most accomplished players of 2024)
and so on
Basically every team that wins an international is going to create a super team on the next change, as long as they dont fully implode.
And if you count previous years' winners too that list is gonna grow very quickly as rosters shuffle over time.
For me super team is much more about ambition, and changing 1 player is nowhere near ambitious as Vit or Lev's roster; despite both of them having a very significantly higher chance to not work out.
