Shoutout to the goat at Champs 2023, when he put everything on the table to go 97/64 (+33) with a +15 FB/FD while asspas went 45-82 (-37), which was worse than even Saadhak, with a -8 FK/FB, and a -11 with Chron, over the two series that Fnatic played against Loud.

Of course, we all know Fnatic won both of those series. Honestly goat shit right there, showing up in the biggest moments.

You're playing one game with those mfs for elo, this is their workplace. If you got into work and had a co-worker act like that about your work, then it would be an extremely toxic atmosphere and you'd probably prefer to work elsewhere. This isn't a ranked game, it's their job.Criticism in the workplace needs to be structured for growth, not to boost your own ego up.

You have no idea how good UdoTan was.

Yay won with FNS and Victor on his team. Derke won getting boosted by Alfa and Leo.

They are not in the same conversation.

Why pick up Demon1 when SonOfCar is right there. Hand my boy the bag.

I still think Riens is almost definitely a top 3 player in EMEA with Kajaak and Alfa. I'd have him in my top 10 global for sure.

You either need Asuna full time Initiator, and force Cryo to play Raze, or you need Cryo on full time sentinel (Boostio on Initiator / Astra) and force Asuna to play dive on every map. I don't think the constant swing of roles helps this team at all, it hurts an already inconsistent team. You have to commit cryo to Duelist or you have to throw his ass down on Sentinel and force a Chamber into whatever comp you can. I like Cryo sentinel more than him on full time duelist, just because I think it could bring him more consistency and I believe in trickle-down-fragonimics. The team is doomed regardless, their peaks just fall away so quickly I don't know man. Also getting boostio out of this FNS glazing level of fragging on Sentinel is more valuable than anything.

He got on the pod without his meds again, they needed a new short for this week.

I honestly have no idea why the coachin staff is pushing this style of play. It feels like such offseason meta comps and a passive style when you have Zekken, N4rrate, and Bang. My biggest gripe with the decision making is keeping Zellsis on such a high senti rate. I'd love to see this guy on more flash, but the most vocal player on the roster is on hard senti. Genuinely, i would rather John on Senti, purely because N4rrate and Zellsis have good enough midrounding to compinsate information for a more potent lurk.

Zellsis was a top entry player in NA heading into franchising, and he's at his best when he's in a position to play aggressive. Remember how peak the sen split was in 2024? That was due to how aggressive Zellsis played around his smoke in mid. This guy can still be insanely impactful in that aggressive role. Please kap, run some fucking double duelist and some Zellsis Initiator (skye, kayo).

Edit - they can't play like a B- G2 and expect to beat G2. Adapt instead of retracting. Please.

This team is so odd. They're good, and i think they could make champs, but it just feels so wrong. It still feels like EG on on par with 2G, when they are probably within the top 6 of AM.

posted 2 weeks ago

They needed Chron to have a single game against Loud that was a better than FNS against BiliBili.

posted 2 weeks ago

He was -37. Boaster was -18. All they needed was "the goat" to not play twice as bad as Boaster.

posted 2 weeks ago

Chron is the only reason Fnatic didn't go 3/3. Leo and Alfa were trying to drag him, but bro decided to put up boaster numbers instead. Goat shit.

posted 2 weeks ago

Yall dick ride Chron for being in the pocket for 3 trophies, I can dick ride the guy who actually put in the work to win 2 of them.

posted 2 weeks ago

Leo's still gonna be #1 no matter what. Alfa and Boaster could win EWC and I'd still put leo ahead of both those guys.

These guys winning for sure.

It doesn't even matter because NRG is winning this tournament without dropping a map. My w streamer cannot faulter.

posted 2 weeks ago

Isn't G2 hitting a chill ass -best player +coach, like wtf did you expect. Like the guy was the 2nd worst player on his 2023 pro team, and he's in the game instead of Leaf, who is arguably the best Sentinel player in America's (Sentinel is not even Shaack's role). The fact they got a map off a Masters team with (essentially) an immortal 2 player is crazy.

All of emea was fucked that event, but my biased brain tells me FPX would have lost to Zeta so who really cares that they weren't there.

But on like a real note, FPX, Optic, and Loud were clearly the top 3 teams of that year, so I don't think it's fair to say it's catagorically a fluke. Would FPX be a hard game for Optic? Yes, absolutely. But, it was a game that would be close. M1 was also the strongest form of optic (after groups) so I don't think it can be called a fluke. Even with the worst conditions, the #2 seed beating the #1 seeds is not a fluke.

posted 3 weeks ago

The only real fluke is Acend, because they were bailed out by the riot refs being shit, and the riot decision makers being even more shit. They quite literally lost in their first match to Keyd, but got bailed by a cam ruling. They almost lost WITH a 7 round advantage. They would have been clobbered by x10 and went out 0-2, but they fluked out. These guys are all in french tier 2, and they're alright, but no other champs winning player is in t2 (sacy is retired, and s1mon is the head monk in the temple that prays on EDG's downfall).

That's the fluke of all flukes, nithing even comes close.

posted 3 weeks ago

This might be a serious shitpost moment from me, but what if -Raze +Vyse. It hurts the burst idea of the comp, but honestly getting another flash means you can focus on numbers fights more than your raze dive bombing.

This is more-so for midrounds and attack - midround you still have vyse info and you have 2 sites with MAD delay. On attack, the idea is simply 5>3 since it would be impossible to flood or retake fast on either site. Scan, drones, stuns, nets, and double flashes might be enough spam to run a duelist-less ascent.

Just hear me out.

posted 1 month ago

The entire roster is more than vocal enough that having him on Senti would bring more value. Zellsis gets more value as an aggressive player, and it gives more room for the zoomers to frag out (which should be this rosters win con).

Keeping Zellsis with the pack to be the primary midrounder, with John having higher firepower and lurk presence to manipulate rotates would an absolute step up.

Kajaak is the only player who actually gets boomed by nerves, so it would be crazy.

Jemkin went 0-14 on Reyna in a grand final, and i'm still willing to call him the best player at this tournament.

posted 1 month ago

I honestly don't think it's the same for this year, just with how the teams have played. Going into Shanghai - G2, Gen.G, and Heretics were better teams than 100T, Paper Rex, and Fnatic. Fnatic has been a better team than Heretics this year, G2 has been better than Sen, and Rarga has been better than BiliBili.

Tl;dr - last years first seeds were more finals flukes than teams better over the split.

Note 2 - 100T doing anything well is a fluke and all of yall damn well know that.

posted 1 month ago

I'd rather pick PRX than Sen at 2nd. Yeah, paper rex are unpredictable, but the Sen map Veto's have been so sus that I wouldn't risk it. That sick fuck Kaplan is more unpredictable than Paper Rex.

Also, PRX have shown 6/7 maps and are very unlikely to switch their comps up mid tourney. Sen have shown 4, and haven't played Pearl which might be their best map.

posted 1 month ago

I think it's just EG vs PRX

Yes, PRX won a map, but they got blown out on a map too. The EG v fnatic and Gambit vs Envy games all had close OT maps and a max round gap of 5 and 4 respectively. The closest map in the EG v PRX series was their (prx) map win.

posted 1 month ago

I think the only team in groups that they'd lose to is Gen.G, but I also think every team but G2 likely gets 2-0'd by Gen.G (G2 get one map).

Tenz at his peak won a masters as a top 2 player on your team. When Skuba wins a trophy we can talk. If NRG ever win a trophy, it'll be on his back.

You can't bring up "win a trophy" for too many player conversations, but if the player was ingrained into the success of the team like Tenz was for that Sen roster, they you have to step up and do that for your team to be compared. I'll take Paint over Deffo, but ain't no way we having conversations between Nats and lux_uo.

I think baiting is and should be a genuine strat for competative valorant. The macro ideologies at the moment are either maximizing the rounds your team can win a round, or maximizing the opportunities for a player to win a round. Most top level teams try to balance those approaches, but you can be a solid middling team with upset potential if you just hope the entire time that one of your two good players just wins the game. Like that's the entire macro idea of CS - have 3 bodies to toss util and clutch like one 1v2, and have your cracked zoomer rifling and cracked zoomer op-ing to just win the rest of the rounds. It's less effective in val because of the util potency, but it's basically all Lev did last year, and they peaked at 3rd globally. I think it's fine to just toss people at a wall to give a top aimer advantaged aimfights. 3 advantaged fights and one 50/50 is better than praying your best player gets a 2-for-1 on a perfectly set up entry.

  1. Green Beans. The peak of vegi's. They can be a main or a pure side. They can be enjoyed to the max grilled, steamed, or garden fresh. Whenever I want a snack in the summer time, my go to is just a bowl of green beans.

  2. Brussel Sprouts. Underrated, overhated. Great balance of taste and texture, and the innate class gives some bonus points. Lacks versatility, but brussels are such a good talent.

  3. Lettuce. Contribution to salad hard carries, but it's too fundamental to my diet not to place top 3.

If you look at all 8 teams at Masters, the pacific teams seem to be in the worst form (regionally). Eye test they're looking the worst. I'd reckon that Liquid falter after Keiko stops playing like a greek god, and the Pacific teams all have massive space to improve. Once Masters happen, I think it'll all be super competative, but I don't think it's crazy to say that Pacific is playing the worst at this moment.

Why are we in the lords year of 2025 and STILL the only BO5 matches the lower and grand finals? I seriously think Riot needs to change so that all top 4 matches (Upper finals, Lower finals, Lower semi-finals, grand finals) operate in a Bo5 format.

Summary:

  • More Bo5's gets teams more experience with it
  • Encourages them to focus on deep map pools as it benefits your Bo3 map bans and you'll need a deep map pool to win two (or three) Bo5 finals matches.
  • Increasing the matches that are Bo5 gives it more validity

I think that making teams win trophies (regionals, masters, champs) off a format that is only played twice in a tournament is crazy. If you're going to a trophy based on the best Bo5 team, I think it should be set up that you have to win at least 1 Bo5 to get there. It also requires masters 1 participants and champs top seeds to win at least one Bo5 to qualify to get to those tournaments. This format would demonstrate they could actually win the finals. It gets teams more reps and increases the value, on a regional level, to have a more complete map pool. In terms of schedule, it adds a single day. Day 1 you do upper finals, them losers semi's so the upper loser gets a time advantage, then losers final, and end with grand finals. 4 totals days of 4 seperate Bo5's instead of 3 days with 2 Bo5's. I think it helps prove what team is worth winning in a 5 map format, and creates less of a narrative that teams who dominate in 3 map formats are getting kinda shafted.

I can't really ethically cheer for Liquid just because of the allegations towards some of their players. I don't even care that it's like a chance that there false, there's a chance that they're beyond true and that harm would extend past being hated on by someone on VLR.

Highkey I think 2020 as a comparison does work for how Yoru is played. 2020 was a lot of Pheonix and an emphasis on the second entry, similar to how Skye or Kayo would work later on, instead of the double dive popularized towards modern vct. Without the poweful flash Initiators we have today, the second duelist kinda had to kill that role of re-fragging and supporting the entry. It's not perfect, but this Yoru idea is so modernized that I agree that it's very fundamentally different from how a double dive operates.

China provided the worst overall teams for even last year. Yes EDG won. No buts, they won and now more than 3 chinese teams are able to play at high quality levels. If everyone brought 4 teams to Bangkok, china would be the second best region, in my opinion. Yall deserve your flowers as it currently stands, but you can't clown on people for saying that stuff about past china when past china were fucking glue factories. Now the bottom of AM is just piles of glue, but their top 4 teams are still the best top 4 any region could provide.

posted 5 months ago

Why is like every damn team in this region running double duelist like it's beta. It's literally the 2020 idea of play your 2 best aimers on duelist and hope they win you the game.

I fuck with it heavy, it's a fun meta adaptation plus I think it's great to build more regional styles of play. I think it'll be significantly less effective against at masters events where the level of play is much higher and where choosing such an inconsistent style means so much more pressure, but as a means to crawl through your region I think it's threatening.
