There were a bunch of EMEA fans saying that EWC wasn't a mickey mouse tournament and that teams were actually trying just so they could claim a trophy but then when it comes to every other offseason event its just "Its the offseason, [insert EMEA team] is just testing stuff out or the new players are getting used to the team."

No but EMEA and MENA fans(Mainly TH and FNC fans) were more vocal about it than pretty much every other region

ewc is s-tier tournament according to liquipedia unlike any other off season tournament tho
So explain why starting with bo1's, production issues, multiple teams having subs, happening while stage 2 CN already started, having half of the teams just finished toronto, while the teams not at toronto had a lot more time to prep and still didn't, and all the teams re-using strats from stage 1 rather than any new ones despite this being "unlike any other offseason tournament," isn't mickey mouse. The only thing not mickey mouse was the prize pool.
i mean prize pool was big thats the point, team are likely to take it much more seriously if theres shit tons of money on the line
