how can i practice in my free time?
and how do i gain stability in my legs to properly recive the ball?

Thank you!! ^-^
It’s a mistake I see a lot of players make, in fact, most of the time when they lose a point it’s because of this mistake!

wtf are these tips bruh...
Make sure to prioritize recovery after your training sessions to keep injuries at bay and stay in top shape! Your body deserves some TLC to bounce back stronger than ever.

whats TLC?
is it a medication or a creme?

it stands for “tender loving care.” Essentially, I'm advising you to take good care of your body after training: rest, stretch, consider doing some light recovery exercises, eat well, and allow your muscles time to heal so you don’t get injured.

Yeah! After training, I usually do some TLC stretches like quads, hamstrings, calves, and shoulders. Even a little child’s pose helps your back chill out. Just take it slow, hold each for like 20–30 seconds, and let your muscles relax. It really helps with recovery and keeps you ready for the next session!

What position do you play, cause I'm thinking it's probably either a stretching issue or a spiking technique issue

It's most likely just the fact that you're using this muscles for these motions for the first time in your life

Make sure to stretch properly before and after practice, and get into the habit of bracing with your knees (low to ground, have your legs take the blunt of the impact) and Ice if needed.

i know that with the knee thing, from my 26 rewatches of Haikyu (not even joking)

can you recommend a couple of stretch exercises?

try to set perpendicular to the net and if your hitting it make sure to hit it as down as possible ( over the net ) and if you cant jump higher enough yet than focus on good form of just hitting the ball

If possible also playing tennis or badminton can help with foot work, game sense, general fitness, and court awareness.

Also if you have a friend who can help, make them spike the ball as hard as they can from around net height so your arms get use to the painful sting from receiving a ball.

i used to play badminton during an after School activity
I stopped around half a year ago

with the friend part
ill look what i can do

the main thing i try not to do is twist my body for spikes and serves

it makes things more inconsistent and shoulder pain is just something youll get used to cause you probably dont use those muscles for much else
