ascension doubt

why does americas and cn have only one slot whereas emea and pacific have 2 slots for ascension?

could anyone explain

Because EMEA and Pacific ascension teams didn't do well in the 2025 season so BOTH ascension were relegated meanwhile in CN, both XLG and G2 did well enough to retain slots for 2026

emea and pacific did not send their ascension teams to champions while americas and cn did

the rule is if you make champs, you guarantee your stay in tier 1 unless both make it which in that case you have to outplace the other team

the ascension teams in those regions were actually competitive enough

G2 and XLG are confirmed staying in tier 1 because they were at Champs. Every other Ascension slot is up for grabs

NS, BME, and DRG are competing in Ascension to keep their spot (in DRG's case, they did worse at Champs than XLG so that's why they're here)

2G, APK, and M8 got auto relegated because they were in the bottom 4 teams in their region
