Feel empty. I dont feel like I’m about to get any better in my life. Studies are too easy and I already follow 1 3rd year course. I’m horrible at games. My friends are chill but I dont become happier bc of them. My therapy doesnt work like it used to. I wanna kms tbh. I host a party this saturday for my birthday but even that im not excited about. I can drink alcohol because ill go over my limit and black out. I just want to die peacefully.

Dying is not the solution simply also it is offensive to even say that

How is it offensive? And tbh it feels like continuing living isnt a solution either

gng, just try to find some meaning in life. maybe go to a church or smth, go do volunteer work, helping others usually makes you feel better. find something you’re passionate about, try to set up some purposeful goals

I tried tbh. And a church just isnt my type, i dont believe bc my head makes too many arguments against the consideration of a high power

Well ive been bullied at school, no sociaal contact COVID, hit by my father. Told im fat while im below bmi as a pattern by my parents. Been told to never come home again multiple times by my parents where they actually put me outside for the whole day at least. Weeks where i didnt have dinner bc i wasnt allowed by parents. Feel lonely and unloved

that sounds like shit. Parents failed to no avail
their own insecurities pushed on the child results in bs like that. those arent parents.
you are enough and dont feel like you need to achieve or do anything special to deserve love.

Not really, my uncles both have their own company an so are busy. And my 2 aunts live together way too far away and are fking busy. And grandparents will just give an” ahw thats sad” or “just feel better”

If ur situation worsens i would genuinely consider contacting authorities, noone deserves to have a life like ur describing it, i have a friend who used to be in a similar situation

So... there's a user called 1243 who also had problems with his parents and life in general, and his parents cut off his internet completely (not the worst thing they've done, just an example). But they were kinda forced to allow him being online cause he aced his exams, he also told me once he finishes education he's going to use it to get a job and mkve out. You've mentioned school feels too easy for you. Im not sure if that means you have good grades considering your mental situation. But maybe you should try and follow his example? See school as a path to freedom? If you want you can reach out to him, I think he's on the cloudberries discord. I can also message him for you if you'd like that.

Of course, that's just kind of a path you could very potentially go towards, but other users have mentioned different things that should help

The problem is it used to just be my parents but for like 1,5 years now it feels like that wouldnt fix it, ill look into it tho since i want to but am afraid I won’t make any friends if I move out

Regarding friends, you can be desperate to make some, but don't settle for people you can't really talk to or rely on, just to check it on the list - "Okay I have friends". Everyone deserves friends that will be there for them no matter what.

i was in the same spot you were a few years back. it felt like nothing anyone said could make me feel better or change things. my practical advice is this:

  1. if your feeling like harming yourself and take little joy from otherwise joyful parts of life regularly your current therapy isn’t working well. that isn’t your fault. talk to your therapist and be honest that you feel stuck. if your therapist practices DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) focusing on that can be very helpful for depression.

  2. secondly, meds can be really important. talk to your doctor and therapist about them. if you are currently on meds you can switch (certain meds not working for some is very normal and very common). i switched a few times until i found one that really helped. meds can help in the short term and long term (makes therapy more effective).

  3. drop all expectations of what you are supposed to be like and where you are supposed to be in life. right now your are in a position where you need to focus on healing. your journey is different than your peers and that is okay. it’s okay to not get out of bed sometimes and not be yourself. it’s about taking baby steps forward. sometimes it’s three steps ahead, two steps back. that is still progress. be gentle with yourself and give yourself room to be imperfect and messy. you wouldn’t expect a physically sick person to do all the things a healthy person can. the same absolutely applies to mental health.

depression can feel like chewing through and elephant. it’s daunting, feels impossible, and there is no motivation to even do it. it seems easier to give up. but all you need to to is take one bite at a time. just like you need to take each day at a time right now. smalls wins are still wins.

it will get better but it will take time. it’s not impossible.

wish you the best.

My therapy is cognitive behavior therapy. But im not on meds. Thank you very much tho. Ill look into all the things you said.

of course. meds are 1000% worth talking about with your doctor. the absolute best combo for depression is meds + therapy at the same time. if you decide to try out meds there are a few things to keep in mind.

  1. they take time to work

  2. not all meds work for every person and sometimes you might need to switch

also, one thing i forgot to mention is doing small things like going on a walk outside every once a while can honestly be really helpful. especially given the fact your home life doesn’t seem great, finding small but gratifying things to do out of the house can be important in the big picture.

I think you think too much. Maybe try living in the moment more. Thinking beyond where you are more often than not just leads to anxiety and stress. If you enjoy it. Then enjoy it, there doesn’t have to be an “after” watch something else. Do something else you enjoy. Even if it’s just as a distraction it’s better than being in a constant negative mindset. If you are happy doing something then just keep doing that thing. That’s your solution. I don’t think anyone is in a constant state of happiness but if you live moment to moment fully invested in what does make you happy I think that’s the closest you can get to the point where you’re just content with where you are.

mf you have depression. go see a psychiatrist and be honest with your therapist

you might feel like you want to die but you dont, its tricking you into thinking its the only way to get better. if you do you wont feel at all. stay alive and seek help its worth it. hope it all works out for you

i also delt with depression,
try professional help (like therapist, psychiratrist, etc..) and if that doesn't work, you could try getting a pet, maybe an low effort pet like a cat, could help
maybe also going outside for a walk or doing sports in an club.
im not a psychiratrist so im just giving you what helped me

one thing is for certain
taking your own life is NOT the solution
