bottom line both nrg and edg had hard runs, and a win is a win
A majority of championship teams peak at the right time. When was the last time we had a team even be the best in their own region and win a major. It was 2024 SEN madrid. We can't deny that NRG are the best team in the world right now.
yeah i think people can safely say they were the best in the world for that tournament, but if they can continue the success then the conversation changes to true undisputed best.
What do you mean. At the time yes EDG was the best team in the world. Its not like they immediately crashed out. 4 months later won their region again and got 3rd at madrid then fell off
Most major winning teams are not in form to win the toureny from the beginning. The common factor a majority of these major winning teams is that they progressively get better throughout the tournament and peak at the end to win. T1 and PRX some recent examples. NRG will fall into the same category
they caught the best opponents ever, none of their opponents liked playing the maps they were complete noobs at
