Is the franchise really that good, i am trying again to watch the orignal movies of star wars in order the older ones, i previously tried it but the old bad animation swayed me away

Im a bit biased but the first 3 + ROTS are peak. rogue 1 is also really good. sequels you should avoid as much as possible. in terms of shows, clone wars is the GOAT of all shows owned by disney (fight me), mandolorian was good until the last season. the rest of the shows other than andor and maybe Kenobi are ass.
After watching all of this and you want to explore more, move onto legends
yeah but it gets overwhelming if you try to watch everything on order first try. watch the original trilogy and if you like it then the prequel and if you like it then the sequel and if you dont fucking hate it all then everything else

never watched the obi-wan disney show, mostly through sad tiktok edits
i only watched like one episode of the bad batch but i heard it's pretty good
i would not watch the live action ahsoka show,,,, the CGI is horrendous but if you can stomach that then go ahead

every film up to the sequals is really good, the first sequal is good imo but the rest is done trash
obviously 7/8/9 suck balls but most pre-disney and even some of the insular expanded universe stuff post-disney is pretty good icl.
