Its kind of weird for it to start before Champs, like last year champs was so early that by this point most roster moves were already pretty much confirmed or everyone knew who was going where.

it has always started before champs if i recall correctly. if your season is over, there is no point in waiting.
it might even hurt the teams who do wait. If youre a player choosing between Furia and 100T, youre gonna choose 100T. But if youre choosing between Furia, 100T and G2 youre gonna pick G2. the teams who didnt qualify are only competing against each other for players, until the top teams' year ends and then its everyone competing against each other. May as well get the pick of the bunch while G2, SEN etc are focusing on playing and havent thought about potential replacements
