Are these lot just peaking at the right time, I could've sworn that they were a meh team
mepeezy is still really good, but favian is fucking insane on his role
kinda yeah. I mean this event is a mess anyway, it shouldn't really be used as a way to figure out how Ascension will go because of how dumb the format is.
But the players on ULF were always good tho, Audaz is the best smoker in Turkey (imo at least), s0pp is a very good duelist, and Echo is inconsistent but has a high ceiling
Depends on what you mean with meh
They are still a premier team without much depth (though obviously improving as they play in t2) - however Id argue that makes for a far better t2 team
Never seen a t2 team that tries to be a t1 team be consistent enough for it to make sense vs just setting up your individuals to succeed.
So I really like ULF leaning into what theyre good at; why overthink things when youre just the sharpest shooters on the server.
echo most obviously leans into this, he's so sharp when he's online it's insane
if crispiness was proportional to how good you are as a player echo would be the goat of val
This team is showing a lot of quality, but Ascension is gonna be where it matters the most. Other teams definitely could have taken this stage more seriously, but I still see it as ULF taking an opportunity to develop some momentum. Also, if you play some of your better rounds and lose some of them, you can learn a lot more than not trying and leaving a lot of room for refinement.
True so are dynasty it's pretty cool to have what I consider a contender for ascension be made up of players from countries that aren't too relevant in valorant
Apeks almost got tag for split 2, but I think he was kinda shite in trials so they got Olizera (I could be wrong tho, maybe it was a financial reason or smth)
I feel like Tag has always looked great to me he's just not looked at by orgs
Aim's maybe a tad better, but overall ComeBack's clearly the better duelist. No discredit to s0pp, ComeBack is just insane
But that means he is clearly better than Lewn and can be a potential replacement for him if ULF don't make it to VCT.
idk I think Lewn's ceiling is just insanely insanely high, he just needs time to grow up more and he'll be goated
I mean this was my thinking exactly. With time he gets better. However, the lows are really low and the highs are really really high.
Lewn has a lot of work to do for him to be a consistently good T1 player given at the moment he is a jett 1 trick. BBL had to restructure there comps multiple times to acommodate for that.
his Neon was alr, Yoru needs work and his raze was atrocious. He just needs to work a little more on the neon and Yoru and he is chilling. Waylay should come a little more naturally to him seeing as he is a really goof jett player already.
