RECAP: In stage 1, our heroes, :3, made playoffs and got 5th-6th place, with an impressive win against flyquest red. This got them a buy in to the stage 2 swiss stage.
First match was tough, and our heroes played valiantly against Tenax GC, a new team who qualified through the open qualifiers. Tensions and stakes were high as the match comments were a fury of :3's from vlr users and SMACK talk from the staff of tenax. Unfortunately, Tenax achieved a 2-0 victory knocking us down to 0-1. The next match was against YDZ Black, including a familiar opponent Luna1, which you may remember from the earlier articles. Before this match, I bet my flair against I_LOVE_LESS for a week, meaning I would have to rep VIT if YDZ won and I_LOVE_LESS would have to take off VIT and rep :3 for a week. Fortunately for us :3 LunaFox pulled off the LunaDiff against the odin spamming Luna1 trying to sell car insurance, putting us in the 1-1. Next match was another new team from the qualifiers, Hakikimori GC. And with our heroes might, WE ABSOLUTLEY SHIT ON THEM 2-1 LETS GOOOO!!!!! Next match, the 2-1 round against YFP X, another familiar opponent. In stage 1, I said ":3 HATERS COME" where I bragged about :3 winning 8-3 against a team with an org. However, after this moment, :3 proceeded to lose LITTERALY EVERY SINGLE ROUND due to my jinx and then fail out in playoffs. And unfortunately, fate would stay the same and we would lose 0-2 to YFP X and their T2 player k0rupt.
However, this is not a story of midness or pity. :3 decided to silently compete with EMPIRE for a tourney called SHARK ATTACK, where they would qualify before announcing that they were ever playing. However, what news dropped next was shocking. Empire tweeted that they had a new GC team, EMPIRE :3 and that their unnanounced team would be playing in SHARK ATTACK, where they proceeded to stand their own against tier 2 teams, bringing burger boyz to 10-13 on corrode, but EMPIRE :3 would eventually lose the match and lose the tournament, but with a great new promise. :3 IS NOW EMPIRE :3!!!!! LETS FRICKING GOOOOOO WE HAVE AN ORG :3 GOT SIGNEDDD LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! AND WE KEEP :3 IN THE NAME
Now its a new day, a new change, to take what is ours.
