Not very informed with what's going on but since both ascension teams in china qualed for champs and secured their spot for vct china next year does that mean there aren't any spots left for challengers? or will there be a 13th team that joins the league

Whoever does worse at champs plays in ascension

If grand finals of champs is XLG DRG and XLG lose, womp womp you’re playing ascension

whoever places better in champs fights for their spot in ascenscion 80% chance they'll win and ascend but RA can make an upset

who ever places lowest at champs gets to keep their spot

ex: XLG get 5-6th and DRG get 9-10th then DRG will play in ascension and vice versa

the higher ranking team in champs out of xlg and drg will secure the spot in the league next year while the other will compete in ascension for the chance to defend their spot. for vct cn ascension, there will be 1 spot open.
