. A winless team taking a victory was inevitable, as both 2G and FURIA had previously had no luck in their Group Alpha games. FURIA was able to win their first map of the Stage in overtime, but 2Game came back with a 13-3 and a 13-2 to end the series 2-1.
Both teams remain in playoff and Champions contention, but can not afford further losses. 2G has a slight margin of error, having two Championship points overall, but their remaining matches will pit them against

and current group leaders, Sentinels.
The aforementioned Sentinels and Cloud9, at the time Group Alpha's 2-0 teams, met in the group's second series. Sentinels continued to prove to be head-and-shoulders above the competition, with a statement 13-5 win on the first map and ending the series on C9's Haven pick, despite OXY 's best efforts.
This earned Sentinels their ticket to Champions, joining

faced off in the final match of the week. The teams took each other's map picks, with a strong showing from KRÜ on Haven and LOUD avoiding a 2-0 by stopping a comeback, with
RobbieBk
standing out thanks to his calling and multikills countering KRÜs rotations and early pushes. The third map was a rather unflattering end to the week, as KRÜ's double-Duelist dominated Ascent to end the series with a 13-4. KRÜ made the game look easy, with the team finding kills while jumping and blind, and generally aggressing onto sites without much concern.
These results left the group with three 2-1 teams, as well as three 1-2 teams, meaning Group Omega's teams remain up in the air regarding playoffs. None of the Omega teams have guaranteed a Champions appearance or have been mathematically eliminated, either, meaning the final weeks will be crucial to keep the teams' hopes alive.
Stage 2 will continue next week with the following series:
