I’m assuming that it is whoever places the best stays and if they were to both make Champs it’s who places best there.

2G needs to make playoffs, thats all that matters to them
if they dont make masters, they are immediately removed from franchising.
if they make playoffs, they are able to play in ascension, and have a chance to reamain in franchising
they're not immediately removed if they don't make masters iirc, i think its just playoffs that matters
if 2g makes playoffs, then they get a chance to compete for their spot at ascension
if 2g makes champs and places worse than g2, then the same thing happens
if 2g makes champs and places higher than g2, then g2 instead has to fight for their spot at ascension
2g don't make playoffs - insta relegation
2g make playoffs - go to ascension to fight for their spot
2g make champs and go further than g2 - g2 have to go to ascension to fight for their spot (very unlikely)
