They choked gf vs Sentinels, choked 10-5 vs TH at Champs last year, and now they're having one of if not the most pathetic stretch of chokes of all time. Who even comes close to them?

ngl last year geng wasnt like this, my theory is foxy9 and ash weak mental is rubbing off on the veterans. But today I think heretics were just better, they also lost both pistols on lotus. Wouldnt really call it a choke but all good cause I expect geng to keep progressing forward. But I fear top 4 is the peak for the year.
It's way worse right now but even last they had their worst choke vs Sen. The stretch they're having rn is incomparable tho.
I agree that there's definitely a mental aspect but i genuinely believe that it's just that-on top of Karon being off form- Foxy9 and Ash not having the ability to make aggressive plays fucks them up. Meteor made the most insane aggressive plays and sometimes he'd look like an idiot but when it works it'd flip the game upside down. The biggest example of this is in the 4th map of the gf vs Heretics where they were down 0-3 (iirc) and they were on eco and meteor just took a timing, went through a viper smoke in C and got a 3 piece with a sheriff. This type of plays are so important in close matches.
yea I mean Im probably one of the few geng fans that didnt expect much going into this year. But, on the bright side geng is still going this far with their second best player in his worst form. Foxy9 and ash have 0 trophy dna. You can tell they are scared to lose. Geng players said lakia had one of the healthiest mindsets they ever seen in podcast before toronto they need him back imo or at least keep him on bench as mental assistant or something. Meteor is still lowkey replaceable considering all you need is someone with killer mentality that doesnt lose composure thats what made meteor so clutch.
But bringing lakia back when karon is off form and foxy9 is not super reliable is risky imo. Geng need a clutch player right now other than texture.
they can keep lakia on the bench, I think his healthy mindset can rub well on the team, just like carpe helped T1 during bangkok run. And its not like lakia has open slots in pacific right now unless he wants to go play in bottom tier team
