I swear sentinel role is infested with braindead retards who can only follow a flowchart esque setup everyround and cant think for themselves. Every round every game, i legit just walked knife out into a kj turret, cypher trip or vyse wall, shoot or triggered it without anyone is contesting me and the more crazy part is, they dont even care to switch up their setup.

True af, these guys are the most soft type of people u ever known. Never take risks, even tho their setup legit has 0 value cause its predictable af and most enemy team just destroy it off rip without repurcations and all they do on attack is just bait their team like monkeys even tho they supposed to man up and keep map control with their utility.
i mean what more do u expect from sentinel players, they only start getting good in high ranks
Forced to play initiator or raze bc my teammates that play them never use their util to break the senti util and we all die in 5 seconds bc of it.
I've been filling sentinel recently just because teammates have been fucking horrendous at holding down sites and I really don't get how people struggle playing this role.
If they start reading your setup and countering it, switch it up.
If they stop going to your site entirely, switch sites for a couple rounds OR setup on one site and instantly show presence somewhere else bait them into it
The only thing that's frustrating is anchoring, as a generally quite aggressive duelist main, I just want to take fights and play contact a lot of the time.
a lot of players just watch some guide on "how to play [sentinel of choice] on [map]" and they just follow that guide like it's gospel.
unironically, i've always said that stuff like that actively makes you worse because it's too predictable and becomes so easy to counter. it's kind of similar to lineups. ever run into a viper or brim that does nothing but bait their team because they insist on their lineups?
when i play cypher i try to have some crazy nonsense trip that no one expects. usually, someone clears the "meta" setup and ends up running knife or util out into the other trip for free.
I think a lot of people use sentinel utility purely just to get kills, then when the enemy goes to the other site they are just a useless person.
It honestly gets on my nerves seeing people put every single piece of util on one site hoping that the enemies will full rush when instead they could hold half the map and let their team stack the other site
I mean personally I switch around my util as a Senti main unless its like KJ turret on Icebox attack, Cypher attack cams or the 3 vyse walls on Ascent defense.
Usually I only switch my util setup when the other team gets conditioned to it and then I switch to another setup. Some of the util you can get creative with, while with others there's only so many spots you will get value out of. But the people who just put the same util down in the spots that youtube or tik tok recommend aren't good, like its fine if you use one of those trips occasionally but every round without variation is too much.
