is there any incentive for g2 to perform well

they've already qualified for champs, they deadass don't need to do anything. there's no incentive for them to perform well in stage 2 for seeding too, bc all teams start at the same stage in champs and from the past we've seen how little seeding matters in group stage. you could get a fucked group even if you're first seed and lose (e.g. geng was 1st seed last year and lost in the group stage, but they would've definitely made it into playoffs if they were 2nd seed and replaced drx in their group)
the next couple of months for g2 is just so free

if they choose to play it easy at stage 2, they could lose some form heading into Champs. so no, I think they will try hard at stage 2

G2 can just use stage 2 to try out some new stuff and they go all out in champs

they will try to win but will not show all card cause there is no need for them to show all thing maybe a map you dont play save it for champ

Nah they can easily all the teams in their region besides Sen on a good day which it'd be harder to win so there wouldn't be really any point to show their strats and just save it for a better time like Champs where it really matters

Winning stage 2 is still a trophy, with a prize pool, and practice in real games is not really worth wasting.

try diff comps and roles maybe, if everything was perfect they should have won toronto
