why do people like them?

The org decided to create beef with Sentinels and Sen having arguably the most fan in NA that kinda backfired creating hate towards G2 not only that they are incredibly cocky on social media (The org) and laugh at other teams when they lose instead of supporting their region like DRX does by always being happy for other apac org doing good. I might be wrong, just saying what I heard and saw

Partly their playstyle and also their Fans

Their Playstyle has been considered boring but tbh has also has been good since its getting them results. Having Tejo also enhanced that hate considering how many matches they have won by doing post plant and having tejo missiles

Their Fans also set-up the hate since they made the narrative of "Best itw" and "perfect valorant", people especially fanbases all over the world would pray for their downfall if they heard that

They just beat all of the most bandwagoned teams: SEN, PRX, and EDG. Pair it with the fact that they used to play slower with a huge preference for retakes and utility abuse and it feels suffocating playing against them.
