I mean it always kinda has been. Format is terrible and will likely suffer for it. The level of play should still be quite high and we should get some banger games for it
I was kinda against this narrative until now. Imagine Wolves win Toronto and we have to watch the very next event knowing the best team wont be playing. If the qualifiers weren't inexplicably in the old patch this wouldn't have been the case
Frod said that EWC qualifiers was supposed to be played in the new patch but then other teams started crying about it, so EWC reverted it back to the old patch for some reason. Probably why out of all the Toronto 3rd seeds, only PRX qualified
