I know they did it yesterday aswell, but switching Serial with Penny in Map 3, surely that is a big grey zone riot didnt think through right?

I mean thats a completely fresh player on stage now, he didnt play 2 Maps before, he is full of Power now. That could give you a big advantage no?

Right now its not looking too good for TL but i think there is a biiig chance it can give the Team an advantage

6 man rosters have been used since 2021

but liquid in 2025 were the first to actually win a series internationally with 6 players

I know, it also happend before (Fnatic with leo where the coach went in i think), but that was cause of illness. I just didnt think that you can just Swap players out mid match how you want yk.

There's nothing problematic or wrong with it. Any team could do it but they don't want to as its hard to make it work.

What?

Any team can have a 6 man roster

Thats not what im saying, obviously nearly every team has a 6 man roaster, but swaping players out mid match?

I thought the 6 man roasters are just for instances where a player gets ill or like Nats, has Visa issues, not to just swap them out cause one Player is better used for, for example, Lotus yk.

Never said that its banned, i just thought its really weird to just Swap a player out mid match cause u wanna use a different player for a different match. I just didnt know you can do that.

Don't you think if that was that op, as you're saying it is, other teams wouldn't do it too?

its definitely better to just have a 5 man roster with better chemistry ngl. this is sad to watch

No i dont think that.

If they Prac that more with him, it could be interessting. I mean he is new to the team and the team is new to that Strat so give it a little time and it could be a good strat swapping here and there.

you can have chemistry if u actually prac together tbf when vitality in csgo was all french + nivera they did this and was basically a top 2 team, honestly cant tell why they dont do this more on val sincee it allows players to have even more defined roles

this has literally been allowed since the beginning of competitive valorant & generally hasnt had any success. gambit tried at the end of 2022 and it failed miserably, there is no competitive advantage lol

Well, i didnt know. Thats why i asked.

And i didnt say there is a competitive advantage, i said/asked " That could give you a big advantage no?" cause that is a completely fresh player on there.

All good it was just a question nothing more.

i think the answer to your question was the fact teams dont use it, if it was beneficial and gave an advantage youd see far more teams utilising actual 6 man rosters. all good!
