Snap Tap and SOCD

I know that SOCD and Snap Tap aren’t as popular in Valorant as they are in CS2, but is there any reason not to use them?
From what I’ve seen, most pro players don’t seem to have them enabled — is that because there’s a real downside, or could it just be that their shared configs (like on Twitch) are outdated?
I know they’re not banned, but I’m wondering if they introduce any issues — like inconsistent movement or reduced control — that make them bad in Valorant.

Yeah, but if SOCD actually helps, like by reducing firing errors when deadzoning, and there’s no real downside, then it doesn’t make much sense not to use it. Especially for pros, who usually take advantage of anything that gives them even a small benefit.

ah yea ok, but yea probably ppl don't feel the need to use it (a lot of ex cs val pros talked abt the strafing not being important after all) or even if ppl use it they just don't bring it up, so that's interesting

deadzone is when input starts being possible, before actuation point. used for preventing accidental touch inputs. not necessary to use if its already good for you right now.
its ok

With deadzoning im refering to a Valorant mechanic.
You can better see what i mean in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JK9Ix3ub9ZY

U literally do not need to counterstrafe in this game. u can strafe right, let off the key and immediately start shooting. in cs2 you run for another millisecond, thats why you counterstrafe.

It's not only about counter strafing (which most pros still do and is faster with Snap Tap) but also deadzoning

no socd isnt any that good considering the time needed to get used to it and the "advantage" it offers specially for valorant. valorant movement is slow & precision based. no need of counter strafing too

Deadzoning is when you are moving .25 speed and are still accurate. Usually this happens when you get shot while moving or right before you're about to stop/start moving.
