I know what is the meaning of Franchising but i only watched VCT this couple of months now and i saw the drama about team that are leaving, so i wonder what is the different and why people hate about Riot's Franchising?

yeah there would be open qualifiers for each sub region within a region e.g. brazillian qualifiers for south america, think there was more matches too iirc its been a while
now its literally, if ur not in tier1/franchise league ur not going to any international events unless u grind out ascension (unsustainable as fuck) or get picked up (need to be extremely good to get picked up)
They wanted an excuse to forcefully kick the GOAT (Tacolilla) out of franchising so other teams could have a chance. Totally unfair
What a weird reason to start something that doesn't make sense and unfairness to others, thank you for explaining to me. Im always wonder why people really hating Franchising
optic was owning too hard so the easiest way to separate the players was to forcefully disband the org
it was only due to the meta at the time (yay best chamber ever) but they didnt even won the major thst year
they claimed it'd make valorant esports more stable and profitable. they said it'd allow for consistent viewership and more revenue for teams, which i suppose did happen since valorant as an esport has grown a fair amount since franchising was introduced, but i wouldnt say thats directly because of franchising
You're right but thank you for spending your time to explain this shit to me, Riot fucked up VCT
imagine a T2 team having NO chance of participating in an international event
Is there no money reward to tier 2 Champ? I mean beside being on top to keep promote to another VCL stage something, they don't get any reward cash for their hard-work!! That's sucks
there is prize pool but its not really big and unified
T2 struggles a lot with money overall
