Val is way more competitive than cs. Here we don't have a team winning over and over again, theres always new teams/rosters being champions, which makes the competitive scene way more entertaining and unpredictable
Better team on that day wins, that's how the game works.
Also you brought up more recent events than bangkok and said I have recency bias???? Do you know what recency bias is??
G2 the so called best team in the world is literally struggling vs LEV and C9. I'm not claiming that T1 in current form is world number 1, but ur jumping the gun in claiming that G2 is.
exactly and best team on a day can be whoever the fuck in this game,g2 was literally so good everyone was saying they will 100% win a trophy this year in kick off already,t1 was a mediocre team with potential who peaked at the right time, that doesnt mean they are objectively the best team considering the final could have gone either way too,ur entire opinion is quite literally based on 1 bo5 map 5 that g2 was leading 12-10 and chocked
Objectively, if you win you are the better team. The win-loss record doesn't lie. T1 isn't mediocre, they have world class players and they proved it at bangkok. You can argue that their form is more inconsistent than G2, sure, but T1 peak is higher than G2 peak so until G2 proves otherwise T1 is still better. Unless you are saying G2 barely winning vs LEV is better form than bangkok lol.
I mean this is only a thing in 2025 because Vitality are incredible and the rest of the teams are at the end of a cycle but the scene back in the Shanghai major was unbelievable, incredibly competitive with so many rosters full of aura that could win the major and that had insane individuals/played great cs, new Falcons looks good and is gonna look even better with kyosuke and I think the scene will look much better once NaVi/Faze/g2 make roster changes and hopefully s1mple coming back once he gets out of contract jail will be cool
