most people on chinese social media are starting to defend s1mon now after edg got fucked by xlg (cuz kangkang cant play yoru, smoggy and nobody aint shooting, and the new guy has shit utility)

s1mon starts messing around and doesn't put in as much effort after winning the biggest event of the year --> starts getting called out by coaches --> crashes out and causes internal problems within the team with fans taking it over the line with the players --> he gets benched (I'm telling you no one wanted him benched on edg they love each other like family) --> new rookie needs to step up and take his place. Somehow all of this equals s1mon wasn't the problem and the org is lmao what is this s1mon alt behavior.

You don't need a mental coach if a player isn't trying that is not the job for a mental coach that is entirely on the player, if it was that easy then 2024 NRG would've been the best team in the world if they had a mental coach doing all of that.

clearly, with hella fucken internal issues they were able to get top 3 in bangkok, yet, instead of trying to fix the internal problems they decide to just sign a new guy because it worked last year when they signed s1mon?

buddy if we look at the past 5 games we can probably conclude that the coaches are fucken frauds.
nobody openly accused s1mon of being a fraud cuz all of his utility positioning and usage was from the coaches yet jieni cant replicate it? how does this make sense

the internal problems started happening AFTER bangkok and s1mon was already crashing out WAY BEFORE they signed the new guy, the EDG players literally stated that they tried to comfort s1mon when he was sad or when he was saying "I can't shoot" or anything like that. Nobody never openly accused s1mon of being a fraud and the entirety of EDG (even the coaches) praised on how good his util was.

You do realize if their internal problems happened since their match against g2 (realistically in playoffs) then they would've already been in the top 3 at that point lmao. Also the internal problems I'm talking about is the fact that he was leaking everything to his fans trying to blame everything else on the EDG players and org and making him seem like the good guy.

I agree ngl I think after champs s1mon got burned out because he worked so hard during champs. And EDG….. idk why kangkang started throwing so much. Like he when they’re up in advantages he keeps on peeking by himself back then kang kang was hitting his shots but now people actually shoot back which then throws the advantages edg had.

As much as his team pulled him down I don’t think he deserves that much hate same was said for Verno that he doesn’t comms and he doesn’t put efforts but now we see how good he is doing in mibr so I think he also deserves second chance maybe not in Edg but in other team

Yea we never truly no 100% of what's going on inside the team.
But him crashing out on stream and exposing dms just isn't right. Also true why is the best chinese org not paying for a mental coach or some professional help.
