Am I the only one who doesn’t find it too weird and everyone’s overreacting? I don’t see everyone hating Ronaldo playing in their league, nor boycotting the Qatar world cup 2022 as they have similar views n laws. Also it’s only a difference of culture people don’t understand. They’re happy living in it, y’all need to understand it’s a choice. As for sports washing, they’ve been fine without it for years, it’s just a tactic to sustain their country by promoting tourism before their oil money runs out. Almost all the population is muslim n LGBTQ+ is prohibited in Islam why’d they allow it. Everyone can stop their inner American preaching democracy, they don’t tell you how to run your country.

For me personally I wouldn't feel good watching EWC knowing all the problems with EWC and the government behind it especially.
That's why I won't watch it. Simple.

Not at an event labeled the Esports WORLD Cup though. It is intended for everyone who can attend in the world, therefore every country should be respected.

but Qatar was indeed criticized by a big part of the world in various ways, lots of ppl died working on their stadiums with almost no human rights respected, they practically bought the world cup with petroleum money, climate inviability with 40C°, their close culture in regard of various aspects and maybe more.

The question is; is money the thing that overrides the common sense?

Dude everyone knows that players like Ronaldo and Neymar who go to Saudi Arabia are washed, and are trying for one more huge paycheck. People definitely hate on them for doing that and taking the dirty money.
