This year CS has 3 S tier Leagues for teams to play
ESL (IEM events, Pro League)
Blast (Spring Final, Fall Final, Global final)
and the major cycles (one in march, Pgl Copenhagen, the other in December, PerfectWorld Shanghai)
next year tho CS becomes fully open circuit so there will be like 30+ events in a year
And valve are only sponsors of the Majors
CS community somehow built their own ecosystem of events with only majors being from valve and valve just said ''yeah, you are doing fineI guess'' and made CS events open circuit so that the system can regulate itself with like 8 TOs. and it will somehow work out
i hope for paris champs they involve the crowd more into the production and dont play in a basement until the last 2 games, especially if we get french teams. thats the only thing im jealous of cs, their tournaments are always played in packed arenas while valorant cant fill up 50 seat basements
