400 is too low, the higher the better with diminishing returns, but 400 is at the point where it becomes detrimental (because of polling rate or something). I would say try get used to 800
optimum tech has a good video on it
mmm maybe but sensors are getting to a point where pixel skipping is becoming rare to even happen.
yes, but unless you have a mouse software which smooths it out for you, you can only take advantage of it at higher dpis
I switched to 800 dpi 8 months ago and I never switched back since. Although I still play on a very high sensitivity (1.50)
Im on 1200 and it can feel fast but ive been on it for so long that im fine
1200 0.33
Most mice can be configured to have different DPI in different environments. you can have it 400 on the desktop and 1600 in-game
that kinda ruins your muscle memory or smth, atleast imo feels too uncomfy to exercise b/w heavy wrist activity and vice versa
what? no it doesn't. you're not flicking or trying to track anything in your desktop. Especially since you're not in a 3D environment
fair enough but i cant understand how people can instantly switch up to different speeds accordingly, too weird atleast for me
ive been on 400 for years can’t use anything else for gaming and i think im at like .47
but it feels slow for me in regular desktop use like my work mouse is at 800
400 is too low, and anything above 1200 is too high.
so 800 is actually the sweet spot.
