yeah they've been slightly disappointing (only slightly due to the Leo situation), but that's not what I want to ask
2024 nrg how come 5 champions can't do shit together + ethan igl was gonna be a disaster you could see from a mile
The fact that people said it was gonna be A tier and said that he knows what to do because of his "elite" gamesense. Mind boggling how braindead people are.
I agree with the first part, but honestly Ethan was one of the best players itw (obv, he won champs lol) so it wasn't completely out of the question imo
being an igl has nothing to do with giving ideas or ocassionally mid round, it was so obvious it wasn't gonna work out
NRG before FNS was destined to fail anyone who expected otherwise is delusional. It was an absolute role identity crisis. Considering how close some of their games were, they did pretty well but they made marved and victor play sentinel because no one else really could.
I think people forget how much hype they had in SEN, likely from recency bias (not saying they were necessarily more disappointing, that's what I'm trying to find out). They were in a similar boat to NRG, signing 2 world champs to a world class core (XSET were unanimously thought as one of the better teams back then)
